My area of specialization is Ancient Philosophy, in particular Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and Hellenistic philosophers, with emphasis on philosophy of mind, metaphysics and epistemology.
My areas of competence include Early Modern Philosophy, in particular Descartes, Berkeley and Hume, Philosophy of Mind (mind-body problem, theories of consciousness, theories of perception), and Metaphysics (space and time, identity and difference, existence, universals, free will).
My areas of interest include Astronomy (history of astronomy, especially ancient and early modern, astronomical instruments), Cosmology (history of cosmology, especially ancient and early modern), Philosophy of Science (realism, demarcation, reduction, instrumentalism), History of Science (especially ancient to early modern), Philosophy of Biology (species problem), Philosophy of Religion (atheism, arguments for and against the existence of God), Political Philosophy (theories of justice, liberty, equality), Education Policy, and Research Integrity.
I have peer-reviewed a dozen of manuscripts for Croatian and international academic publishers (e.g. Brill, SUNY Press, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press), and many more for academic journals, including:

I have written reports on grant proposals for the American National Science Foundation (NSF), Czech Science Foundation (GAČR), Hungarian Scientific Research Fund (OTKA), Polish National Science Centre (NCN), Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). I have served on evaluation boards for academic institutions and various search committees.
